Hi, my name is Philip and I’m an industrial designer by trade. I think like a strategist and build like an engineer with extensive experience in the design industry driving product innovations and design development for both digital and physical products.

Consumer Durable Goods

Designed and developed consumer electronic products such as servers, desktop computers, laptops, and printers for clients such as Dell. Brought to life many consumer appliances and beverage products for home and commercial settings, including smart connected products such as Drinkworks by Keurig.

Medical Products

Designed surgical tools that humanized newborn delivery devices whilst assisting obstetricians in post-op needs. Project managed and led design teams on clinical equipment projects such as digital impression systems for orthodontists, and designed hospital bed equipment for burn victims early in my career.

Industrial Equipment

Worked on, managed multidisciplinary teams, and led programs ranging from warehouse barcode scanners for symbol technologies, to wearable computers and headsets for Honeywell. Ran design research, envisioning and development for various handheld equipment clients such as chemical analyzers for first responders.

Interaction Design

Delivered holistic product experiences including interaction design on physical controls and embedded user interfaces, designing with context in mind and validated through iterative user testing. Developed user workflows and generated visual assets for client development teams.

Digital Products

From mobile to web applications, I’ve worked as part of an integrated team defining user needs, developing frameworks, wireframes, and validating hypothesis through low fidelity prototypes. Ran recruitment and drove user testing as input for refinement.

Clinical Service Design

In addition to my digital and physical product experience, I’ve lead competitive market assessments, patient research and synthesis work for healthcare clients. Help a client launch a new patient enrollment and clinical assessment tool using Salesforce for a new care offering.
